Lola

Love in a dog suit!!

Today Lola kissed us all bye and went to live in her new home in Naranjo. She has been adopted by a long-time Manzanillo resident, who has a nice house in Naranjo and LOTS of time to spend with her. She went with all the things she'll need for a few days to settle in ... her bed, collars, leash, toys, snacks and food ... along with the promise that if, for any reason, things don't work out (but who could resist the charms of that little gal?) she is welcome to return here. Sometimes it just takes the grapevine (special thanks, you know who you are) and the right timing for these things to work out. We will miss her happy little spirit, but are glad for her because we're confident that she'll finally get to be the little princess "only dog" she deserves to be.

Lola is the sweetest little girl ever. She is about two years old, spayed and fully vaccinated. She is cat friendly and loves other dogs, too. She was living in Vida del Mar, being watched over by residents there after having been abandoned by her owners. She had to be placed in foster care after she was discovered by her human friends unable to walk by the side of the road. Best they can figure is that a local construction crew had been throwing rocks at her and shooting her with a pellet gun. She’s all better now after Dr. Alejandro Garcia fixed her up again, and despite her ordeal is still trusting and friendly toward humans and joyful of spirit.
