Pirata

Pirata found a forever home!

Pirata (Pirate) is a street dog who survived a serious concussion after being hit by a passing car in front of the Scuba Shack. We guess his age is around six years, but every day he appears to be getting younger! He has learned to play with the other shop dogs and even enjoys going to the lagoon on Sunday morning for "doggy play day."

Pirata wanders freely around the shop and is always here in the morning to greet the divers. He apparently has learned his lesson, as he is not willing to get out in the street again.

You should see him dance when we hand out bones! He's pretty tricky, though, as he’ll try to steal every bone there is from the other dogs (so we end up giving him an extra bone or two).

Pirata has been neutered, is current on vaccines, and speaks both English and Spanish. He's very affecionate, has beautiful, soft fur, and loves to be petted. Since his brush with the speeding motorist two months ago, he's gained weight and his coat shines.
