Antonio Catbanderas
Meet Antonio Catbanderas. This sweet little soul, along with his sister, was found abandoned in a box in Las Brisas a couple of years ago. A good Samaritan running on the beach saw them and noticed they were under attack by some dogs. He and his wife picked up the kittens, expecting them to be feral. They were pleasantly surprised to find them as “sweet as pie.” They took the kittens to Dr. Alejandro for spaying and neutering. An adoptive home was found for the female while Antonio Catbanderas (Tony) was adopted by the good Samaritan and grew into a beautiful tiger cat. He now serves as a “seeing-eye cat” for the blind 16-year old cat who is in charge of the household. He has, quite wisely, become best friends with the resident Labrador, who arrived about the same time. His owner is certain Tony thinks they’re littermates and can’t figure out when he is going to grow up too.
